aaaand we're off!

Dear Maine,

I have waited all summer for this day.  I am still struggling to pack my bags, and we leave in just a few short hours, but oh, Maine, you are SO worth it!! You are so good to me.  You give me time alone with God in his beautiful creation, and you give me coveted time with my man, Trevin, and his family.  I am so thankful for restful/lazy days in your clean crisp air!
We look forward to more beautiful days, chilly nights, games, and lots, and lots of memories! Get ready, because we're coming!!!  We leave tomorrow at 6 am!

love,

Clancy

Tonight I enjoyed catching up with an old friend.  We met when we were in 5th grade at Pioneer Girls, a christian Girl Scouts held at my church and became instant best friends... I loved spending the weekends at her house because she had lots of brothers and sisters running around.  I even looked like them.  We loved it when people would ask if we were sisters. We would share a glance, usually giggle, and let them believe we actually were sisters.
We were obsessed with country music together, especially Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.  We even made our own music videos to our favorite songs.
Over the years we've grown apart, grown up, gone to school, and have grown together again.   Nothing is better than sitting across the table from this girl sharing a plate of sushi and catching up on our changing grown-up lives.
Love you Dee!

catching up.

well, I have some major catching up to do.  Since I didn't finish my India update, here is the link to my pictures!  I'll let them do the story telling...
and...
This summer has been a whirlwind of catching up with distant friends, working, working, doctors visits for nursing school, working, getting nervous about nursing school, and spending time with family.  I know if I try to catch up on everything this summer, it would be a novel, so I'll just pick up with life, right now!

Summer 2010, Maine
I've loved the busyness of life this summer, yet days of lounging by a pool with a good book, seem like a story that I read about somewhere.  I am so looking forward to going to Maine with Trevin and his family again!  I'm creating my book list, (including review Anatomy & Physiology material), packing my sunscreen, and counting down the days of lounging all day by the lake! (only 9 more days!!)
The whole gang!
Picking Maine blueberries... mmm :)

Also happening in 9 days: my mentor, and close friend is moving with her husband and precious son across the Atlantic to a Muslim country to follow God's call to make disciples of all nations.  I don't think the physical separation has hit me yet, but as I anticipate the days until my vacation, I can't imagine her anticipation!  I will miss our early morning Starbucks meetings, and the fun times we've shared, but I'm looking forward to what God will do through  their obedience!  Love you guys and will miss you so very much!
