first day of the semester.

last semester's books

Well. today is the day!
I am a basket of emotions.
I love school! I really do. the studying, the books, the notes cards, the fun pens... and yes, even the library.  it all brings back memories of challenge, good memories of friends,  all nighters, and success. but there are a lot of cons, that cause me stress and anxiety that I really could do without.
I'm getting excited and anxious and nervous all at the same time!!  oh my, I need another cup of coffee.
It also does not help that I just got a alert text from campus saying all parking lots are FULL!!  at 10 am. ugh. Not really sure how I'm going to survive that jungle we call a parking garage.

First day outfit.
The start of a new semester means new challenges, new study groups, and a new season.  goodness, I'm giddy just thinking of the spring flowers, and new grass and fresh warm air that is on the brink... getting ready to ooze over Maryland and bless our little lives.  Thank goodness for spring, it makes my soul happy :)  now, if i can just keep it all in perspective, the pros do out weigh the cons.  I just need to put my big girl pants on, and put my best foot forward, and do what Clancy does best.  be a nursing student, and be successful!
i hope today, you can put your big girl pants on, and keep it all in perspective.  we are, afterall, part of a greater plan, with every step mapped out for us, and no reason to be anxious.

Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.  Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

NYC with this guy.

Trevin and I found it hard to think of Christmas gifts to each other this year, so we decided to have a combined gift and go to New York.  I might venture to say it was the best idea ever...
love this guy :)

I love this city in the winter.  The coooold city, bundling up, grabbing a hot cup of something every other block, and if you time it right, the Christmas decorations!  Unfortunately this year, because of our school schedule, we didn't make it for the Christmas stuff, but regardless, it was a great 2 days with my guy :) and boy did we cover a lot of ground!

We saw a wedding at Grand Central Station

We strolled through Central Park

Got suckered into buying tickets to a comedy show...
Something neither of us would usually do.

He pretended to be a super hero in the Subway Station (also a first for both of us!)

Stumbled upon Argo tea, which I've read so much about on Elm Street Life.

yeah.

Loved Greenwich Village and it's charm.  Oh, it was just so wonderful.   I wish we had more time to explore, and visit SoHo!  Thankfully we had great advice from Trevin's Uncle who is practically a local and gave us the must see spots.
I say that's enough reason for a trip back, huh? yes :)

Ate THE BEST PIZZA ever at Joe's. Seriously, so good!
After pizza, we also went to the Blind Tiger just a few blocks away... the coziest little tavern
with a fire place and some delicious beers on tap. And by some I mean 37.

Almost froze waiting for the bus.

Ate a street vendor dog. (I did not participate in this part of the trip)

There were so many other great things we did but it was so darn cold we kept our hands in our pockets most of the time and didn't take as many pictures as usual.
NYC, we will be back very soon.

inspiration.

Lately, instead of blogging(which I hardly do anyway...)  I have been reading blogs!  And let me tell you, there are some great ladies out there.  Here are some inspiring, fun loving, beautiful ladies that have great blogs!  Maybe one day I'll step up my blogger-game and be more like them... but for now, I hope you like these blogs as much as I do!
1) Bex.  she's funny, cute, has great style and is so energetic!
2) Rose A La Mode.  this girl has some great style, and shares some great pics.
3) Jenny Lynne. ok, she's seriously just so funny, and goofy, (thats what I love most about her.) and she's fearlessly stylish.
4) Cupcakes and Cashmere.  Ok, this girl is new... I don't know a lot about her, but she's cute and has great style!

Check these ladies out, and let me know what you think!
